Meet your tutor

Hi, I’m Melissa Lozano! As a licensed teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience, over 14 years working in education, & 6 years of tutoring experience in many subjects, I look forward to penciling you in! I have two little ones of my own whom I take a lot of pride in nurturing and developing as they grow. I am working toward my Master of Arts in Counseling degree with a focus in school counseling. Social-emotional learning is wrapped up in everything I do. Additionally, I have volunteered in Ecuador, Mexico, Swaziland Africa, and Guatemala.

With my experience working with a variety of ages of students and my proficiency in Spanish I am well suited to serve your family’s academic needs. Being a culturally responsive professional is my passion. My volunteer travel and professional experiences continue to shape me as an individual well-prepared and sensitive to the needs of a variety of families.
